Unlocking entrepreneurial potential in VET students throughout Europe

The Project

ENTRE_VET has been developed as a VET education proposal, inspired by the European Commission priorities, as well as national and local actions towards entrepreneurship. In direct support of the Osnabrück Declaration on Vocational Education and Training, which foresees the development of VET centers as incubators of entrepreneurship and digital readiness, the ENTRE_VET project will act as a bridge between EU target priorities and the entrepreneurship competence needs in VET education across 6 countries.

ENTRE_VET aims to foster an entrepreneurial-oriented VET ecosystem, satisfying the following set project objectives:

  • To analyze the VET student behavior and inclination towards entrepreneurship, comparing their entrepreneurial knowledge before learning about entrepreneurship, and their entrepreneurial intentions after receiving training on the subject. This will be achieved through a dedicated questionnaire on entrepreneurial behavior and mindset. A two-year study will be conducted among VET students benefiting from the ENTRE_VET project.

  • To assist VET schools in the implementation of the Osnabrück Declaration on Vocational Education and Training, by providing a path that helps them turn the theory behind the Declaration into applicable actions to be included in the VET courses. This will be achieved by the developed ENTRE_VET curriculum, assisting VET students to delve into learning about entrepreneurship and fostering their entrepreneurial behavior and mindset.

  • To provide VET students with understandable, easy to follow and useful information about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial mindset. This will be achieved through workshops, where students will be in direct contact with local entrepreneurs and the developed curriculum.

  • To adapt VET education to the needs of the labor market and the economy, providing students with tools that will enable them to transition from VET education to their professional path.

  • To collaborate and support the European Skills Agenda for sustainable competitiveness, social fairness, and resilience.

  • To strengthen the collaboration between VET centers and entrepreneurs, establishing a path where students can contact entrepreneurs and learn from other people’s experience.

  • To provide a tool to bring entrepreneurship closer to VET students at risk of social exclusion, through the freely accessible developed content outputs of the project, with the workshops providing learning pathways on entrepreneurship for all.

  • To promote digital learning in VET education, facilitating a type of training that complements the already available, formal education of the VET curriculum, through freely accessible online courses within the ENTRE_VET platform.
